Yes Optimus dieing was traumatic in that movie. It's really got alot of adult themes for being aimed at such a young audience, probably becuase its anime when you get right down to it.

Found this cool pic of Unicron with that cool quote of his.

I was eleven when that movie came out. It single handedly made me obsessed with Transformers and made me sick of Skittles all in one fell swoop.

I liked blurr, although they really slacked on his animation after the movie. I always wondered what happened to all of the other junkions, too.....

My favorite parts were always when Unicron modified the "dying" decepticons. That part had awesome cinemetography and scoring for a kids movie.

I also always liked the part with the quitesons(sp?) Those things were awesome.

I still think this movie has better lines than any other movie ive ever seen. If you go to the IMDB, and look up the Memorable Quotes, its like everyone of every characters lines in the ENTIRE MOVIE.

Check It Out

I have blurr on my shelf right now:p . Ya that scene with unicron revamping the Decepticons was classic. Heres a pic.

Orsen Wells PWNS as unicron BTW

"Behold, Galvatron. And these, shall be your minions."

I loved Monster Squad when I was kid. Is it on DVD? I was never into transformers, my thing was He-Man. I had all the figures.

I dont think its on DVD yet. I remember hearing rumors about different companies trying to distribute it and buy the rights but i think it all fell through.

Damn you had ALL the he-man? There were quite a good number of them if i remember right, ya they were cool too. I had that big hairy guy, forgot his name.

.....? Do you guys wanna just change this into a childhood thread? I aint saying it in a bad way, just curious since it started as Monster Squad and kinda declined from there. Oh, Ninja Turtles, Power Rangers and Batman
