The name was revealed today (November 3) at the launch press conference for Daniel Craig's third outing as Ian Fleming's secret agent.

The new 007 movie will see Craig star alongside a returning Judi Dench and franchise newcomers Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes and Albert Finney.

Craig said that the film will be "Bond with a capital 'B' ", adding: "It's all in the script and we've got a great script."

Bérénice Marlohe will play a character called Severin in the film, who she described as
"glamorous" and "enigmatic". Naomie Harris will play a field agent called Eve.

The movie will not relate to an original Fleming story, but the title "has some emotional context which will be revealed in the film".

Oscar-winning American Beauty director Sam Mendes will direct Skyfall from a script by John Logan, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade.

"I thought the story was fantastic," Mendes said. "I love Daniel and Judi. This is an enormous challenge."

He added that "Skyfall is its own story" and "doesn't connect with the last two movies".

Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson will again serve as producers.

Craig's previous James Bond films Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace have grossed more than $1 billion (£625 million) at the worldwide box office.

It'll be fun to see the movie. Though I don't expect much from it. I expect it to be an actionfilled movie. Which isn't James Bond to me sadly. The best Bond movies were those with Sean Connery and Roger Moore in my opinion.

OH I love the violence in them and it's a bonus that Daniel Craig is in them :-)

The ones with Sean Connery in them are the best but I'm putting Daniel Craig in at the second best Bond, Roger Moore's Bond was soooooo cheesy, fun, but cheesy.

I love the Sean Connery ones too! but think Roger Moore's portrayal is so tongue in cheek....I still watch them tho!! Don't like Pierce Brosnan ones either, I like the films but just not him :-(
