Are any of the fan films any good?

I never got round to checking out the SK stuff Ferox mentioned but I heard there were a couple of goodies in that lot.

I've only seen "Hellraiser: Prophecy". Which, despite being incredibly cheesy, clive barker liked haha.

I like the first three, but it's pretty much a downhill trek.

I didn't think it was possible for an artist to copyright his work like that. I mean, look at what happened with Wes Craven's creations. Up for grabs to anyone.

Oh, well. I tried. And came full circle.

Eugh, the amount of times I've tried to find an answer to an HDC question and done that.

WHat u mean(freddy)? I'm sure all the sequals were official (as in as rights to use the character0..

Scarebaby 04-16-2010 10:26 AM

Yah, that's what I'm saying.

Ferox13 04-17-2010 12:19 AM

I think you misunderstood me - I meant Wes Craven owns the right to the Freddie Kruger character and he was used with permisson in all the sequals. I can't remember but i'm sure there was a 'Original character created by Wes Craven' in the credits. I don't think you or me could go out and make Nightmare on Elm St 25 with out clearing copyright (unless we live in Turkey :-)

Cenobite stories

There are some anthology books on the theme of the cenobites, but I haven't read any yet. I'd like to write a cenobite short story myself, there's a lot of room for creativity on this subject. :)
