Definitely those crimes outweigh the Family's shortlived spree. There's individuals walking the street who've done far worse crimes and got minimal sentences for their acts. He's just a easily identifiable "Bogeyman" to keep the sheeplike masses scared of their own shadow. Keep the gun and gated community sales up.
I think he was influenced by the hippie movement as much as he used it to his advantage. Especially the protest/resistance side of the movement. He had a "put up or shut up mentality" with a scorched earth policy. Some of his philosophy is quite on to it like the ATWA stuff. |
