Yeah, I know what you mean. However, his non-horror stuff still tends to be quite dark. It's a bit of a shame that he has become so stereotyped as an author - some of his non-horror has been very enjoyable for me, but there is always the expectation in the back of the mind that a killer clown is going to pop out at any moment. :)

I really liked that one he did with the other guy too (was it Straub?) called "The Talisman".
