Psycho vs. Night of the Living Dead

I don't know about that NE. Eyes Without a Face, Black Sunday, Carnival of Souls, Kwaidan, Rosemary's Baby, "Manos" The Hands of Fate... all those and more have a chance I think (well maybe not ALL of them ;) ).

Haunted Palace

Haunted Palace for me as well.

BTW I think I am going to love this one. Thanks V.

I'll go for Haunted Palace for this round. Vincent Price says it all.

Same here.

This is going to be great, by the way, V. Can't wait.

I'm going to throw one to Horrors of Spider Island. This movie is hilarious and the other two are kind of so-so examples of what they are. There are vastly better Corman "Poe" movies (he loses points for doing a Lovecraft story under the title of a Poe poem) and William Castle thrillers, but as a porno turned into a legitimate film that's somehow dirtier and more incoherent than it would be as a porno, Horrors of Spider Island is special.

I'll continue to check this tourney but I won't be able to vote in it often. Haven't seen many 60s horror films. Just the most famous ones.

Thanks guys. I hope you all love this tourney as much as I will. :)

6-1-0, The Haunted Palace scores a pretty easy win over Horrors of Spider Island and I Saw What You Did!

Dracula, Prince of Darkness.

The Sadist is an incredible little indie that deserves to be better known.

But Lee will always be my fave Dracula, so I vote for Dracula.

fortunato 10-04-2009 08:28 AM

I'll have to go with The Sadist, a really claustrophobic and effective thriller done on a super-low budget. Plus cinematography by a young Vilmos Zsigmond.
