Just email itunes customer service, this should not be a problem or something you need to buy anything to fix...

Either you've got a modded iPod / hacked version of iTunes, or that was a long time ago. I'm not sure if it was different in the past, but today Apple programs only allow you to sync one way. You just seem to be the exception to the rule, heh. (I used to do iPhone tech support at work, so I'm pretty familiar with iTunes + how Apple makes sure you spend as much money as possible :p)

Anyway, I picked up a 4 gig flash drive, worked like a charm. Had to make a couple trips back and forth, but it solved the problem. Thanks for the suggestion folks :)

Sorry, should have mentioned this initially - both are PCs. Old one is running XP, laptop is running Vista. I also don't have a wireless router, and the way we've got things setup it would be impossible to have both computers connected at the same time :o

Sorry, I somehow got the idea that you were using Macs. Looking back I have no idea why. Very likely, because I was drinking... :)

But good to see that the flash drive worked. That or an external hard drive would be the simplest solution.

Make sure you don't make the same mistake that I did and only copy over the songs, whilst forgetting to copy over your library files and cover art etc. That was painful.
