I agree with you if you've played it just recently, but you have to remember when it was released and what a console FPS was at that time. Compared to any PC shooters Halo was blown away but it revolutionized what a console FPS could be as far as gameplay and graphics went.

not much of a fan of halo, but i play it sometimes with my brother.

thought ufc was gonna be fun, but that got boring real quick.

never got into sonic the hedgehog.

..........

I like the single player mode of UFC and playing against my friends. But the online is crap, plain and simple. So much lag and a ton of modded controllers just kills the whole experience.

Played it just a bit over a year after its release. Just wasn't that impressed at all.
You have a point with the console shooter thing though, I suppose.

How about - Every post N64 Mario game?
I think they've all been shithouse and showing no signs of getting better. They need to step back a bit and stop trying for "interesting" and "gimmick" before they kill Mario for good - people will only buy it based on the series popularity for so long.

Speaking of the sonic games, I thought the side-scrollers were pretty good, though lacking in any real variation between them...but I think the series has gone to shit since they put it in 3d. That said, I've not yet played the black knight one, or UNLEASHED which I thought looked ok.

GTA4 can probably come in here. Sure, it was "ok" and the combat system was massively improved IMO, but the rest...just didn't do much of anything for me. I've often said making it ultra realistic has spoiled a lot of the fun. GTA:SA is about as "real" as I needed it to be. The storyline on 4 was...boring, you ask me.

Vice City was the best...

I think so too - but after SA improved the control system, it was difficult to go back to the older one. Wouldn't mind seeing a remake or sequel of VC.

Both Paper Mario's were fantastic games! (Seriously)

Not to mention I was an avid Mario Kart fan once. Long ago.

Vice City, San Andreas, and GTA 4.

I enjoy parts of these games - as in, taking a random weapon, killing a shitload of people, running from the cops, ect. - but the plot and missions never grabbed me. I'll take GTA 2 over these ones any day of the week.

Those games have plots? O.o

I hate each and every Halo game. they are massively over rated, incredibly average games.
