i saw a shrink for awhile - it was free through work so i figured why not - i found it boring. i dont' want to talk about myself that much and, of course, being a monkey allows me to avoid most of the simpering human problems.
so - in the end - my simian superiority gives me perfect mental health how, if you'll forgive me, i'm going to pick some bugs out of my fur for a snack after which i'll fling some pooh and then maybe take a nap |

How about those of us who posted 20 tournaments and got bored with all of them?

Now as far as a percentage of us that needs to go to a shrink, that's debatable. On one hand you could say that everyone could use someone who can listen and diagnose your issues. On the other, you said regular posters. Most of the people with the most issues were trolls just happening through for their 1 week stay (if we're lucky). |

Maybe they were the sain ones though, think about that.... |

I'd say you're all way too high. Most of us seem pretty well adjusted. I'd say 5-10% but probably not many of the regulars. I'm thinking of the occasional weirdo that saunters in like Monsterdad or FreddyFan.

I'm not as crazy irl as I am on here :)

Everybody has issues. If you say you don't, your #1 issue is that you're a liar.
Shrinks...they can be scary, they're MD's (not as in murderdolls :) ) so they want to prescribe drugs and hope that helps. Problem is that it's kind of a guessing game to figure out which one will work depending on your symptoms. Most of those drugs alter your brain chemistry so if they get it wrong you can end up worse. Psychologists and therapists work with you through talk therapy. That's fine as long as you don't end up with one more fucked up than you. My opinion is that good friends can be more help unless you have something seriously wrong that demands a doctors attention. |
