Movies for me that were quite scary were superstition , amityville , house by the cemetery.

Of course if you dont try to beleive in the movie and think its just one big joke you wont be scared .

I agree, "House By The Cemetary" was quite chilling. And I am going to get joked on for these two, but I also found "House of 1000 Corpses quite freaky, especially at the end. I also found "White Noise 2" to be quite scary, though scary in a 'jumpy' sort of way. "Pet Sematary" was great, and so was the original "Night Of The Living Dead" (in black & white I must add......it just gives the whole movie an eerie vibe.)

Pet Sematary is the only movie that truly disturbs me. I pretty much won't even watch it anymore.

When I google this movies such Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Psycho, Nightmare On Elm Street, etc. I don't find these movies in any way scary. I can understand years ago when they first were released but now-a-days not at all. I'm looking for movies like Ju-On. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Messengers was horrible. Friday the 13th was alright at best, highly overrated films. Jaws was a boring ass movie. Good for one watch but after that it really boring.

Robert Wise's THE HAUNTING is still the scariest film I've yet to see.
