I can't tell you how many bagillion threads have been made about this movie.
Im not too huge a fan. i think Deodato is a jerkoff who tries to act like he had nothing to do with the animal killing, as if the camera men and actors had done it without his consent. Thats what he said in Jungle Holocaust anyway.

he said - he just filmed what the natives do on a daily basis - re the animals.

but i'm not gonna watch those scenes.

actually, on the dvd you can choose from several different playback options.

one of them is the "animal cruelty-free version," which is convenient.

I always use the Animal cruelty free version Holocaust is a good movie and there is no need for animal killing to be in the movie.

Hmm...I may have to look into that.

The movie has always intrigued me, but I've steered clear for the same reason as a lot of people - the animal killings. If the DVD can gloss over it, it may be worth checking out - mind posting a link to which DVD includes that option?

Was a valued part of my Pre Cert VHS collection then sold it.-its good

I really like the UK cover on GO label but sadly its edited in a few places and the new DVD is great!! its definetly the best Video Nasty going and its The Mother Of all Cannibal movies, like Enter the Dragon is to Martial arts..Classic film, the haunting sound track is brilliant.
