As far as French action goes, Leon and District B-13 are two of my favorites. |

http://horror.com/forum/showthread.php?t=33735 Inside I actually really want to see. It's currently on my Netflix queue. I thought that High Tension was predictable and incredibly overrated. I'm hoping that Inside lives up to the hype that I've read about. |
i'm a big fan of french films and enjoyed High Tension - looking forward to these two as well!

So I finally saw Inside.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...grl/inside.jpg And... Wow. This is the most disturbing horror movie that I've seen that is not from Asia... But believe me that's a compliment. This is the third French film that I've seen, following High Tension (which I thought was overrated with a predictable twist that ultimately made no sense and felt contrived) and Them (which I thought was a fantastic suspenseful film). Inside is a well-made slasher that definitely borderlines on the exploitative (as most slashers do), using a particularly pathetic and vulnerable victim, a pregnant woman. The movie is fierce, bloody, gory, tortured, and genuinely disturbing. This movie is fierce. This is a fantastic slasher, for those who love slashers. I give it an A-/A. |
Hey Chronogirl... if you can (I don't know if it was released over there or what), you should give Malefique a try. I found this little horror film very disturbing and creepy. It's a simple premise that surprisingly delivers a lot. And it made me feel all dirty after watching it. :p

I'm going to watch INSIDE tonight....if all goes as planned

There's also Frontier(s) that's supposed to be pretty fantastic. It's not released until next week, but also on my Netflix queue. |

Liked Frontiere(s), but preferred Sheitan which is pretty much in the same vein. Vincent Cassel is, for once, over the top but in a good way. It's a pretty gross film as well. |
