Remakes happen. some good, some bad.

Interesting look on it, but the way I see it, a good film doesn't need to be remade in the first place.

Ya know, I hear what you are saying, but its just that [REC] was such a good movie that remaking it so soon is just a waste. I mean seriously, people are going to see a knock-off, and more than likely is going to be bad. And thats just like a slap in the face to the good/original. So yeah, I may be treating the movie a little unfairly, but I feel like its justified.

I have nothing to say on this matter. I just wanted to say that. So I said it.

I gotta say, I do love dubbed movies. It is a weird thing. Sometimes even a bad dubbing job is fun. Gives the movie a weird, comedic otherworldly quality! Don't pooh-pooh me, I know some of you must enjoy a dubbed film from time to time! I'd rather see it badly dubbed than badly remade, I guess...just a opinion...

Yeah, I wouldn't complain if they dubbed it. Because then it wouldn't be a remake, just the same movie with the voices not matching the lips.

But, I myself would rather have the original voices with subtitles. I've watched a good ammount of subbed stuff and I've gotten used to reading it so quickly that I finish reading before they finish talking. And, I know how people complain about reading the subtitles and missing parts of the movie, but when you get used to it, you can read the subtitles without having to focus on them and miss something in the movie.

I like subtitles too on certain things...there is often a special quality that comes through with the original dialogue in its original language.

At this morning's breakfast for Sony's Screen Gems' Quarantine at the San Diego Comic-Con, ShockTillYouDrop.com learned that Sony will be releasing the film it was based on, Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza's Rec, on DVD in time for Quarantine's bow on DVD.

Ok thats good and all, but it still doesn't make up for the fact that its a remake, so soon after the original came out. But I'm glad that people will get the chance to see the real movie. Any word on if its going to be subbed or dubbed?
