My dad's come back from his little adventure.
He's decided that unless I help pay bills, I don't get a room, free food, or TV & internet privelages.

Pride doesn't pay the bills. Sometimes you gotta give in to parental wishes if you want a free place to stay, or pay rent. Concentrate on the education part. Do what you can and if the parents offer to pay for any future edu, take them up on it. It's worth it in the long run and it ain't cheap.

Very true, maybe you should consider some sort of part time job that you don't despise. Although I've never worked there I wouldn't suggest anything in the food industry.
