Well.... I may be bashed for saying this, but I'd rather see a female president for once, just to see the difference in how the country is run. So I'll be voting for Ellen Page!!

new york will probably go for clinton - who I don't hate like some of you but, like Rod, would not really want to see as prez/

i'm supporting obama - he's young and a new face in politics, i think he's got the right attitudes about most of the issues tha matter to me.

but i have to say - i'd vote for satan himself before i'd vote republican at this point (although i think satan is definitely registered with the GOP)

If she wins, 2 families will run the country for a minimum of 24-28 years. Bush Sr 1989-1993, Bill 1993-2001, Bush Jr. 2001-2009, Hillary 2009-2013/2017? Who knows, maybe Jeb Bush'll throww his hat into the ring after that!

That doesn't sound like a democratic republic to me, it sounds like an aristocracy.

The only thing certain is that proceeding in the same direction as the current administration is dooming more than just our country.

It's an interesting statement, Rod, but I already feel as though we're more of an aristocracy than we are a true democracy (then again, the term "democracy" was born in Athens, where essentially only rich white men could vote, so perhaps we're on the right track).

My biggest problem with Hillary is the fact that she is using being a woman to her advantage, which, quite frankly, I find personally more offensive than any of the misogynistic slander that has been tossed around in regards to her "ability to lead a country."

Also, to be quite and entirely blunt, I do not believe that America will vote for a woman. Dead honesty. I know - It's completely misogynistic, but I believe that our country is still ruled by patriarchy that people simply will not vote for a woman. And if she winds up as the Democratic candidate, she will ultimately LOSE to whomever the Republicans run. And, as I said... Anyone but the GOP.

My problem with Obama: He completely and utterly personifies all that the Republicans criticize about liberals and the Democratic party; he is far too idealistic to a point where I can't take him seriously. I think that he's a brilliant man, an incredible orator and writer, but he is simply too idealistic.

But I'd rather him than Hillary.

I think.

Rudy IS gone and is supporting McCain.

With Edwards gone, I've decided I'm not voting. He's the one I was going to vote for.

Who's the one that keeps using the chuck norris facts in his capaign?

Though for many reasons I can't vote (english 14 year old), if I could, I'd vote democrat, simply because I don't mind either way. Hillary seems okay but not the best choice, and obama seems to be what america needs after Bush. Not because of what he could, but probably wont do, but because he seems like a nice smart guy (which will be nice considering the last seven years) who has the right attitude. Paul seems okay, but it just seems like the same old, same old. Not to mention, with either democrats, you're getting a first. First black president, or first woman president. It's history in the making folks!

If and when the time comes I'm voting for Obama.

chaibill 01-30-2008 09:25 AM

i like Obama but I said way back if they run hillery or obama they would just hand it over to Mccain. and i knew rudy didn't have a chance he is Italian
