Next time I'm just gonna bring a ruler.

Or better yet, bring a picture. Do you have a picture of you with a cut you really liked? If so, bring it with you. We hairdressers are visual learners, give us a visual and we will most likely give you what you want. If you explain what you want we may visualize it differently that you do. Also, just ask your stylist not to put any product in your hair if that's how you roll.

As for tha itchy bits of hair, it's hard to avoid. They can put a little paper strip between your neck and the cape but even then, you have bits of hair on your head still which will fall off after. You could maybe get your hairdresser to wet your hair using a water bottle, cut your hair, and shampoo after it's cut instead of first so it washes off the itchy hair.

I also think people are allergic to their own hair. Seriously. In all the days I've cut hair or been around people cutting hair I've only been itchy when it's my own hair on my neck.

I always have the same problem with them cutting off too much. Even after I explain to them that people always cut off too much, and show them exactly where I'd like it cut to, it always ends up above the shoulders. I'm just going to grow it back out. I'm actually happier with the shit long and ratty.

I started growing my hair in August 2005. I took good care of it myself and if I was going out I'd straighten it, then tie it back. But in the end, I realised I was the only one I was fooling by saying I liked it. I developed a twitch when I constantly shook my head to the side to get the hair out of my face, even when it wasn't there.

Now, I'm a deep sleeper, always have been. I wake up about 20 mins before I have to leave for school and usually have a bit of homework to do. So doing my hair was a complete nightmare, considering how messed up it got. So in March 2007, for the first time in over a year and a half, I went to a hairdressers and got it cut short. Very short. Not all off, but nearly. And god did it feel good. It was strange at first having such a cold neck but overall it was great. I've kept the twitch but it's nearly completely gone. It feels great!

I am resurrecting this thread simply because one of the aspects that has magnified my otherwise miserable and anxiety-ridden day is the fact that I mistakenly PLUCKED MY RIGHT EYEBROW SIGNIFICANTLY THINNER THAN MY LEFT EYEBROW.

Instead of my plans for the sleek mysterious brow of a goddess, perfectly framing the ocean-blue of my eyes, this current hair mishap emphasizes the breadth and slope of my forehead, NOT UNLIKE THAT OF A DROOLING MONGOLOID.

Sure, I COULD pluck my LEFT eyebrow thin... BUT THAT'S HOW I GOT HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE! GAH

In theory, yes, a compelling solution.

But I am absolutely make-up impaired. And by "impaired" I mean "lazy."

But I might just have to put the 10-minutes aside tomorrow morning to... do it.

So, it's time for a haircut today.

I don't have that problem.

I simply lift off my wig and there is a shiny, bald dome!

Fast & simple! Lol!

let them grow wild a free! shave them a few times, then you could play an old englishman in movies, with eyebrows that look like the plumage of tropical birds.
