I found it so strange how ever paper seemed so freaked out by a shark...

We don't hear about shark sightings in Australia, only after people have been attacked.

Coz we don't really get them over here, or at least not that we are aware of - shark attacks

I guessed you don't get them over here after I had read those articles, I just hadn't thought about it before...

Every summer we have the shark attacks, the snake bites, the spider stories coming out in the news...

i think I heard about a spider coming close to poisoning someones finger once. :)

Imagine if australia had our weather all year round. That's a bit more extreme but it's a similar kind of thing. We're not used to it.

you didn't let me finish. A garden spider. It wasn't poisonou, that's just what I was told. The person who told me got it wrong. :P
