Miike Takeshi's Audition is an excellent film, also Ichi the Killer, though that is more action/gore than suspense.
Creepy child films like The Grudge are a good watch, however I would avoid Ringu, I was dissapointed by this film, lack of suspense, atmosphere, and bad acting.

The Eye, although I haven't seen it in a while, is also a good watch.
