Avenger, it's worth seeing in a theater. The cinematography is really well-done; the color is very atmospheric. IMO it's better than most big-budget horror.
A prequel? "I was a teenage Leatherface"? "The Phantom Leatherface"? I guess it makes more sense to make a prequel than a sequel. Sequels are, after all, more of the same old thing. Seeing a sweet little Leatherface a la Anakin Skywalker, knowing he will eventually be a psycho... it's still a stupid idea. I think they should re-release "Parents" and add in a John Laroquette voiceover at the end, saying that the kid becomes Leatherface when he grows up. |
TCM prequel, hope it ends up well.

This is interesting.. guess we will see leather growing up... Ha ha

Interesting indeed. I'm not a fan of prequels, but I'll give anything horror a try. Especially if it's TCM.

the new tcm is theater worthy no dought.
I didnt really think it was a good remake but it was a good movie. As for a prequal they might show the grandparents at an earlier age performing the acts. |
I can't imagine that being a hit... And I have a HUGE imagination.

TCM 2003 was an excellent horror movie. I went in expecting crap but came out very surprised and somewhat actually scared! Great movie. Its a lot better seeing it in the cinemas. :)

If you haven't seen TCM 2003 yet, and you live in the Austin TX area, it will be showing at St. Edward's University's Jones Auditorium, this Sunday at 8:30. It's free for students, but they probably won't check IDs or anything. Free popcorn too.
