Hope to see a good sequel in future.

How about a remake? :D

It did not let me down. But that is because I was expecting a descent scary movie and nothing more.

That is exactly what it was.

I really enjoyed it. A very straight-forward ghost story with creeps, jumps and mood. A throw-back spookhouse movie that totally succeeded in it's goal.

Now I'm looking forward to Wan's ode to Deathwish called DEATH SENTENCE, which comes out at the end of August and stars Kevin Bacon.

I thought this movie was just OK, but I am disappointed after watching this movie because it really could have been so much more. The plot with the evil ventriloquist woman and her evil dolls was cool. And with so many people that are creeped out by dolls, clowns and such.....this had potential to be one of the scariest movies in years. Unfortunately, the producers, directors, and actors could not pull off this off.

Dead Silence was far better than I expected. I saw it at the theater, and it's suspense had me pretty freaked out. The acting was average, but I enjoyed the story and the ending quite a lot. I got the DVD the day it came out and have watched it a few times since.

Anyone else notice that towards the end of the movie, in the old theater, when DOnnie Wahlberg and the other guy are looking at the dolls, there is a pan where the doll from SAW shows up kind of blurry in the foreground.

My wife noticed it immediately.

Yes, and I noticed something else, why is Donnie Whalberg always a cop?
