pft, that's what I was thinking when I was you're age, now I'm 17, and I'm starting on my 3rd band.

Plus do you know how many bands are underground, not to break your hope, but I doubt you'll even get underground.

I'm not saying I can either, but you have to try your fuckin hardest, and you have to make a shitload of sacrifices for a band. Trust me, so you better be in for the long haul.

Truer words have yet been spoken. It IS fucking hard, i gave up my WHOLE high school experience, practicing every fri, sat, and sun for 4 years, untill we played shows. And THEN, i moved away and it all went to shit. Hang on to your band members, let them know you appreciate them so they stick around.

I wish you the best of luck, my best advice to you would be (once you get your guitar) is to take lessons. I was really against it untill i found the right teacher, totally changed my life AND my music.

I never got lessons, self taught myself for 8 years. With a bit of help from my brother once in awhile.

I can learn just about anything within 3 minutes now. But I've kinda given up on guitar. There's only so much fun you can have with it, and so much to write. Time to take a different direction ya know?
