Jaws 2 even owns Deep Blue Sea. It ain't no work of genius but it's a pretty darn competent shark monster movie!

Jaws is the ultimate shark film. No Deep Blue Sea can ever come close to it. The main difference is that Deep Blue Sea is heavily CGI-reliant, while Jaws in its day made the shark look and feel real. People stopped going into the ocean after watching it, and thats some damn effect it had. For a film to have such an effect on the audience, Jaws is unique. Deep Blue Sea is not.

I actually like Deep blue sea but JAWS is just outstanding, best film ever made.

I'm not that big of a Jaws fan, never really got to me. That said, it's leaps and bounds better than Deep Blue Sea. Jaws was a smarter film with more class and was the better film in every aspect.

They are both good, but Jaws is the better movie. Deep Blue Sea was more mindlessly enjoyable, but Jaws is the better movie.

Also, DBS isn't a horror movie, it's adventure. It's really an adventure with jump scares, think about it. It's no horror.
