We might have considered a suit if A. Lily had been hurt (we would have gone right to the company if she had gotten hurt) or B. they were unacommodating and refused a refund.

I talked to the overall manager of the place and both cleaning crews got their asses reamed this morning ( he was out until today).

Want to hear the scary thing? there was a note in the "Welcome package" you got that explained that there were picture keys on the fridge for communicating with housekeeping because they could not be garunteed to speak english. in fucking Merrimack New Hampshire...

I dont want to be closed minded, but if the cleaning crew doesnt speak a lick of english, I am willing to bet they are lacking greencards and visas...

Cheapest hotel I stayed in was in Florence (Italy) think it was more of a bed and breakfast place.

The feeder pipes to upstairs communal toilets ran along and down the corner of our room. There was no cavity or anything hiding the pipes. Everytime someone flushed the toilets upstars the fucking pipes would vibrate and bang against the wall.

Greencards or not, that's a fucking joke.
I'm all for equal oppertunity, but at least basic spoken english when in predominately white/euro occupied countries should be required...to me, it just says that the employers are just trying to get a cheaper employee, and then won't even be able to adequetly explain the job to them...what kind've standards do they expect from that? I would never go there again.

I stayed in youth hostels 3 times when i lived in germany.... NEVER again. They were awful. The first one wasnt terrible, just uncomfortable. the second one was pretty similar, and at both the food was god awful. the third....w as in Amsterdam when i was 15....


The Hostel was awful, but the experience is something i will never forget.

Got into a fight with a french kid because he tried feeling up my leg (I think he thought i was a girl. the other guys in the room were trying to teach some french girls "7 minutes to heaven" and he sat down on the wrong bed... or so he claimed)

made friends with two rather attractive french girls because i was joking around with the other guys in my room and stuck my ass out the door, and they came back to get a second glance. :)

Got locked in the American girl's room because we were horsing around loudly and pissed off the belgian soccer coach down the hall (athletes get crabby at 3 in morning when they havea game the next day) He came in screaming, the other guys beat feet back to our room, adn i dove under the bed. i ended up spending the next hour making friends with 2 cheerleaders, "D-cup girl" and "E-cup" girl from my school.

When i finally got back to my own room, i found the other two guys reading a dirty magazine and boasting off everything they would have done were they in my shoes. They didnt seem to get that 15 to 16 year old girls aremore interested in chatting than orgies. Go figure.

Oh yeah, we're never going back.

And really, if i got a job in Japan, you bet your ass i'm going to learn Japanese. i lived in Germany for 9 years. i learned German. Easy.

I work in a hotel and though I've never had too much trouble staying at any, I have my share of wierd shit at mine.


Used condoms, dirty underware, hypo needles, pot, puke splattered walls.

The best was when some guy came in claiming the housekeepers stole his 'narcotics'. Turns out it was methedone and he had a prescription from the VA hospital, but the police knew the guy and said he had probably done it all and just wanted it documented so he could get more.

Heh, funny thing about being in a band is that alot of times you find yourself sleeping on some stranger's living room floor. Sometimes that's worse than any hotel room.

Yeah, no fines if the place isnt kept up to snuff.

And if a roach crawls on your face while you sleep, you can't really complain to anybody. You just get up and play again.

i once fell down the stairs in a bed and breakfast and they gave us a refund plus £20.

I should seriously injure and put myself at risk more often.
