are you fucking kidding me i never saw those pics before...was this near when they came out with comboys from hell???

Glam rock Pantera cracks me up. Those pics were awhile before Cowboys came out. There's a picture of one of Phil Anselmo's bands pre-Pantera thats even worse haha.

I've got a couple of friends that are in a glam rock band. They haven't quite hit the transvestite looking stage yet.

That's part of why I don't like Pantera. They did a complete image reversal from Poison-esque glammers into hardcore tough guys when the hair metal thing ran out of steam.

Who cares about the image, its about the music.Unless your Malcolm McLaren.

I'm not a big fan, I realy like some songs from Vulgar display of Power and Far beyond Driven (like 5 minutes alone) Otherwise the best part from Pantera came from Dame Bagg's guitar sound, now I'm enjoing "Rebel meets Rebel" album, good and powerfull album to kicked out all worries.

On metal music my preferences doesnt go more far than Anthrax, Judas Preast, Black Sabbath and the pre-load shit era of Metallica.

I'm more of a punker, but when it comes to hard rock/metal, Pantera is where I turn. Dimebag was a madman on the guitar & the drummer is insane too. I actually got a chance to see them play live once (for free no less!) so that was pretty sweet. Morbid Angel & Deicide opened, then Static X, then Slayer, and finally Pantera. That show was a metalheads wet dream. I really was only there to see Pantera & Static X (and because I got a free ticket) but it was pretty cool.

In all honesty, the image is not important to me. I listen mostly to (arguably) faceless electronic stuff. I just feel that Pantera lack sincerity, which does bother me.
