There's no "if" about it. Saw IV is in pre-production. Each film has opened to larger box office than the previous one. Another one will be ready by Halloween.

Well, I found that Saw 3 was very strong (better than Saw 2 IMO), but I think it would have been a perfect ending. I am a bit worried about a fourth installment, but who knows? It already seems like a miracle to have launched three such films in three years while maintaining a high standard, so perhaps I will again be surprised next october...

I thought the first was awesome. The second was a poor sequel, but still had its moments. The third was back to being on par with the original.

Lets hope theres not some weird even number curse which makes the 4th movie bad like the second. ;)

But the Saw movies are totally different. They base around a man who kills people with traps. Theres never once been any sort of suggestion that he might be something more than mortal and the film has never once gone in any sort of direction of being supernatural/monster/zombie related. It's a different type of horror to that in my opinion.

Friday the 13th Part II - No suggestion Jason is anything more than a distubed, mentally challanged dude that misses his mommy.

The only way I can see this happening is if Jigsaw had a cult of followers. But, wouldn't that have been revealed in the films already?
