my wife put it into perspective for me: It doesnt matter if I think she is attractive with the extra weight, SHE doesnt think she is attractive, and self image is all that matters.

Buy a jump rope. Sounds silly but 5 minutes of jumping rope is good cardio and can help you thin down a lot even if you don't have time for a proper workout.

That is VERY true. When I was boxing jumping rope alone made me lose tons of weight and got my legs into great shape!!

I usually go back to my old wrestling routine when i try to get into shape, with some things thrown in for back and lats. i like th emuscular arm/V look. When i was younger, i aspired to be built like brandon lee.

I use my old wrestling training methods a lot too, do you have a medicine ball? That's always an easy catalyst.

I'm with you here, Vod.

I used to be the skinny guy. Crazy metabolism allowed me to eat anything and never exercize. But after 35, the metabolism slowed tremendously and my 6'1" 185 lb frame inflated to 205.

Not fat, just uncomfortable.

Now I do 50 crunches and 20 push-ups every morning - takes 5-10 minutes. It's not like I'm in world's greatest shape, but I'm back to 190 and I feel better.

Good luck...getting old sucks

Its funny.. i dont think i will ever be under 200 again. I have packed on a lot of muscle in the past few years as well. i realized i was getting leaner, but had a lot more definition than i had had. I think a lot of it had to do with the weeks and weeks of heavy lifting i did renovating our house.

I would have to work up to 50 crunches... i do 2 right now and i want to puke.
