For anyone who doesn't need every second of a movie to be action packed, scary, or gory, it's a spectacular trip into terror.

I, too, recommend The Blair Witch Project, along with:
  • The Evil Dead
  • The Exorcist
  • Dead Birds
  • Halloween
  • Hellraiser
  • The Brood
  • Suspiria
  • Scream
  • Night Watch
  • Re-Animator

im not saying they need to be action packed but i think you're loosing sight of the audience here......there teenagers....who wont be taking much notice of the film as they'll talk throughout about the films and other stuff.....try to remeber what sleepovers are like.....

It isn't too hard for me to remember.

I'm 17 years old. :)

Give 'em some old-fashioned stuff. Like,

Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein.
House on Haunted Hill.

It's good for them. At least throw a couple of older films into the mix so it's not just new stuff. Educate them, give 'em a little historical context on horror entertainment.

If you need 70's, I would say, Blacula, and Phantasm.

I'll try and go with enjoyable and scary here.
*Stephen Kings "IT"
*Final Destination
*Scream
*Jeepers Creepers
*NOES #1 (I don't think any other film has fucked with any young teens as much as this one)
*Critters 1&2
*Shaun of the dead

..Nothing too "deep" there, more'n enough for a video night.

Beat me to that one.

In The Mouth of Madness is a good one.

If you want somrthing they've actually heared of, try Silent Hill (If they havent already seen it)...I was really impressed.

Evil Dead obviously.

gotta let em see halloween.....other than that idk but definately some movies with creatures/killers with masks......and with stuff thatll make em jump....nothign liek the omen tho....

I would have to say

Shaun of the Dead (laughs and gore)
Cabin fever (pure gore fest)
Brain-Dead (oddball gore and laughs)
And last but not least, educate them with some cult classics:
Dawn of the Dead (Original)
Night of the Living Dead (original may bore them being black and white, so in a last ditch effort go for Savini's re-make)
Oh, I'm jus going down the zombie path-just go for the early George A stuff and you'll be fine!

DrenTheLiar 09-25-2006 04:42 PM

soem of those are good but i mean the guys tryin to make em scared not laugh...of course if he was a sick fuck liek me hed do alot more than have em watch movies

That's a good suggestion, that should be up to par.
