I bought my ME copy when I heard about the DVD being discontinued in March or so.

They'll probably come out with another, "bigger and better" edition...however, I don't know how they could. The ME is loaded with special features.

You know, I'd like to take this time to say the sometimes, there are things in life you have to put forth extreme effort for. For instace: certain french soups, learning instruments, controlling impulse postings of derogatory pictures, building large model ships and adjusting to new foreign environments. The stress can be astounding.

Bear in mind before you throw away your VHS tapes that a DVD recorder does not convert all analogue signals to digital as well as you would expect.

There should be few problems transferring originals (apart from the usual 'blocking' and artifacts), but copies and cheap prints with a poor signal are prone to jerky, stuttery digital results even at normal speed.

The best way to get your VHS onto DVD is through a high spec computer, though do your research first.

Ive already bought the ME twice as someone knicked the first copy I had. At least I feel a bit better about not waiting around to re-buy it.
