I used to live in Germany when I was a kid too, but I was really young so the only thing I can remember were giant slugs that I would jump on in my Mary Janes and squish. They would sometimes splat up my leg and my mom would yell at me to stop squishing the slugs, she didn't want to clean it up.

We have these outside, mostly around our plants, behind the rosebushes, stuff like that...Seri gets freaked out by them...Probably because they are the BIGGEST spiders we have around here, these things are easily as long as your finger...I just think they look weird because they don't seem to be the right colors for a spider, know what I mean?
Seri makes me kill them...But, they're perfectly harmless... It's a Garden Spider |

You might want to vaccum up some bug spray before you open that bag up. I'm sure he isn't dead and he's probably pissed as hell.

I was outside a couple months ago and saw a HUGE black spider on the side of my house. I called my dad out and he grabbed some Black Flag spray to kill the bastard.
Turns out it was a she. DOZENS of tiny little baby spiders poured out of that fucker as she died. It was like her revenge on us. We had to round up all the little ones and kill them too. Creepiest thing I ever saw. |
There was an article in the paper this morning about some lady finding a big ol' Black Widow in some grapes she bought. Ugh, I hate those stories.

I hate spiders, scared to death of them. I saw one of those black and yellow things in a field in Illinois once when I was staying there and taking my dog out to pee. Scared the hell out of me. Glad to hear they're harmless, but they sure don't LOOK harmless. *shudder*
I had an experience with a whole 'herd' of wolf spiders in Northern Minnesota once. I don't want to retype the whole thing though, so here's a link to it. http://www.horror.com/forum/showthre...r&pagenumber=2 |
A cartoon about an encounter with a big frakking spider. This is a couple of years old, and it's a favorite Flash cartoon of mine.
http://www.batemania.com/animation/hfilm.html While it's loading (if you're on a slow connection), it will play some title cards you can read. Then a brief cartoon story--a TRUE story narrated by Heather herself--will begin. |

We had one in our house the other day, the legs on it could probably stretch the length of my palm. |
