As for the movie...I bought it the other night, haven't had a chance to watch it yet, but it looks like it's going to be pretty good...I'm looking forward to it...

I almost forgot I rented this, and then I remembered I didn't really care for it, not that is was a bad story, just a bit more on the 'eww' side of horror.
Give us a review when you watch it:cool:

Okay...That should be pretty easy, since my 'reviews' generally tend to consist of "It sucked, I hated it" or "It rocked, I loved it"...If I'm feeling particularly prolific, it could be something like "It sucked BECAUSE...yada yada yada" or "It rocked BECAUSE...yada yada yada"...

I like to give a short simple opinion about a movie, so as not to try to influence anyone else about it...It's always best to encourage everyone to see something for themselves...As "One man's trash is another man's treasure"

If I feel strongly about something that has to do with a movie, I'll point that out and sometimes expand upon it (Like the first 45 minutes of Hostel, and the first HOUR of wolf Creek), but then I usually end up feeling like I'm giving away too much and may ruin it for someone...Know what I mean?

:)

I dont think a thought out personal opinion should be a risk to the opinions of others.

be sad if that were true.

i often find a thoughtful coherent critique on a movie helpful .. but it doesnt colour my perception of a film in a negative way.
If anything it's the opposite..

for example ..

The movie : The Core.

I saw it - wrote it off as a dumb actioner .... then i heard a reviewer mention how it was a great throwback to the jules verne style of grand adventure and i suddenly saw the film wit a completely different point of view and I saw that the film actually did work beautifully in that light.

If someone simply says 'i like it' or 'it sucks' my first question is 'why did you think that'

makes the post more worth posting ...

(after all - it is a forum ..thats why - some of us - are here)

dude... it's an hour and a half. 85 minutes to be precise. how is that too long ? you say it doesn't explain how he got the way he is... well maybe if the movie had been a bit longer (and not shorter), it would've gotten into his whole background some more, though it is suggested.

eh... i enjoyed it. i thought it was one of the better horror films to come out.

i thought the deleted scenes and storyboards did explain the background

The film was...okay. Cool set design, nice sense of confinement, good performance from the creep and I really like the lack of explanation about his origins. It's all there if you look closely. But...

This is one of those unfortunate situations where the "making of" is actually more interesting than the film.

And then there's the personal experience factor that plays a huge role in what the individual prefers.
Take your biggest fear or something that makes you projectile vomit and put that in a scary movie-it will probably have a more extreme reaction.

I gotta assume that if it's ok for him, it's ok for me...besides..."it was a joke", see? there was a smiley so it's clearly ok.
Since you've been briefly allowed back to this website, I'm not sure if your rather distasteful talk about AIDS, cancer and people's mothers are going down too well at the moment.

Fpr the people who didn't like the movie or those who said it was "okay". What was wrong about the film ? I don't get it. I thought it was one of the better horror movies made recently.

A lot better than all the god awful remakes.

I thought the plot, direction, scares, were all A+.
