That burst of energy is completely normal, it happened to me with both of my sons.
Walking will help, if you really want to go ahead and get it over with. I could tell you another way, but it isn't very pleasant, and I think walking is much better.

Dunno why men to get so sit it out, but I would light a candle everydy because of it if the Church would accept me... :D

But seriously, may I suggest Demoral when you go in? Pain? What pain? :D

Miss Olivia 07-14-2006 03:03 PM

Demerol didn't do a damn thing for me.
Epidural is the way to go.
Comfortably numb.:D

This is kind of humourous. I was the 3rd one born in my family (yes the "baby" of the family) Anyway, my sister came out breach, and not leg first, but butt first, and they didn't do a c-section, my poor mom had to give birth that way by passing her through her. So when I came along 4 years later, I was kind a surprise cuz they didn't think mom could have any more kids. But as a result, I kind of fell out of mom. I was the largest of us 3 babies, yet ended up being the skinniest (skrawny) when I got older. Don't seem to have that problem anymore!

Anyway, I was born like 20 minutes after they arrived. My dad was in the "father's waiting room" and had just started into a sandwich that he had made. They came out and said he had a new, healthy baby daughter. And he ACTUALLY said this, "but I haven't had my sandwich yet." The nurse just looked at him and smiled and said, "This isn't your first is it." Funny, I think. And for whatever blessed reasons, my mom never had a labor pain with me, just a feeling that they should get to the hospital. Good thing they trusted that feeling!

Hope you're doing alright Pinky!!!!!!!!!

HA!!! That line cracked me up! The only way it could be better is if he said it with his mouth full. :D
