Basically what urge said.

An example would be...My favorite Nolan film is Batman Begins, but Memento is clearly his best.

well ... sometimes you can have a personal favorite that you can see isnt the best film .. i have some like that .. it hits you on a personal level even though it isnt probably the directors best work ..

Gotcha - that explains why even when faced with the renowned Deep Anus Injektor IV and Kraut und Jew: Dwarfenfuckt, I tend to go for Arnold Von Taup's simple but highly enjoyable Kreased Lady acht Pensionvaggina (1996) every time.

:)

These two+"People Under The Stairs" for me.

bwind22 07-12-2006 05:48 AM

1-Nightmare on Elm St.
2-Serpent and the Rainbow
3-People Under the Stairs
4-Scream
5-Hills Have Eyes
6-Last House on the Left
7-New Nightmare
8-Shocker
9-Scream 2
10-Scream 3
11-Cursed
12-Red Eye

That is the order I liked the ones that I have seen.

I can't believe no one mentioned Serpent & the Rainbow.

i enjoyed it - but never thought it was anywhere as inventive and effective as NOES

slasherman 07-12-2006 07:47 AM

Nightmare on Elm St.
Scream
Hills Have Eyes

..and Red Eye was kind of lame...even though the bad guy did and okey job

Im not a big fan of Craven. NOES, HHE and Scream (to some extent) are great films, but most of his other work leaves me cold.

Has anyone seen Chiller? Easily one of the worst movies that Ive ever seen, surpassed only by crap like Jigsaw.

Posher778 07-12-2006 09:18 AM

Scream

NOES

Redeye

Redeye was REALLY good. Cillian Murphy is definitely one of my favorite new actors....he was perfect as the Scarecrow in Batman Begins.
