It did deserve more,you're dead-on there, but I still liked the BBC version and have this optimistic outlook that ONE DAY it will get a good director and budget to do it justice...:D

I think some of the crime dramas BBC did were excellent....'Cracker' being @ the top of my list,and the one that had Clive Owen as a detective going blind (can't remember the name)

With a cast like this though (on Stardust) maybe the budget has been increased? This sounds like a seriously expensive bunch of actors ,you know?
