Scary Movie

The original When A Stranger Calls with Carol Kane is the only movie to give me nightmares.

I am new to horror.com, I just registered today......I came upon it after searching google. Me a kid ?? I'm a 29 year old female......nice try though.

No really, I'm looking for truly scary movies......I want to start a collection and need either great classics, (must be comparable to Exorcist) or newer stuff. Maybe along the lines of Hostel.....anyone see that by the way ?

Calm down a little bit. They give everyone that's new a hard time....most of the n00bs anyways.

As far as scary movies, I found the movie Deadbirds scary for some reason. That's the only movie that has ever really creeped me out. But I have yet to have any nightmares because of a movie. If you need anymore help, just ask. :)

By the way, you asked where we're from. I'm in Georgia in the states. I can't wait to move....

And Hostel was a good storyline and all, but too much uneeded and unwanted gore and nudity plauged the film to make it anything worth while. I didn't care for it so much.

Hell yah, dude. Dead Birds was a great little B-horror flick. Some genuinely scary moments in there.

Too much gore?...What dat means?...WHO doesn't need or want it? :p

My problem with Hostel is that I really wanted some of that "too much gore" at least SOMEWHERE in the first 45 minutes (no one even tripped, got a paper cut, got poked in the eye or stubbed a toe:rolleyes: )...And, as far as I'm concerned, the film NEEDED it...

As for the question in this thread...Ever heard of a movie called 'Night Of The Living Dead'?...Oh...It's in black and white (the original)...So...You may not like it...

There's really no way to say what the scariest movie, or even a scary movie, is. Peoples fears and what affects them differ so much from person to person. I never found Exorcist all that frightening. Great story, and a few creepy moments definately. I think Exorcist III is one of the creepiest movies ever. For a lot of people, it's too dialogue driven. I really don't like having everything in my face, though.

Yeah...I always say that...

Hey!...That reminds me....You guys remember that movie where they're on a ship out in space, and whatever they're most afraid of is what kills them?....One guy had a fear of snakes (or worms, something like that)...And someone had a fear of heights...I think there were spiders, too...I can't remember what the girl was afraid of but, I would LOVE to see that movie again...Wish I could remember what it was called...It was quite a while ago...More than 10 years...I think...
