I actually thought Karl Urban was wasted in this movie. I think Urban could be the next big thing if he's given the right script... so far that hasn't happened.

I was dissappointed with this movie. A lot of people I know said it was good but when I saw it I wasn't happy.

I thought the lighting was bad for one, I know in the games it's dark and moody but it just seemed it was too dark for film, I want to see the monsters and blood, forget the shadows. I also was expecting more monsters, and even though I've played FPS games I realized I don't really care for that perspective in a movie. I would rather see at least a few shots of the guy behind the gun.

The only reason I would watch it again is because I love Karl Urban and I am all about the men.

I have to admit this was far better than i expected, although it wasn't that good though. The Rock is a terrible actor in my opinion.:o

the Rock is very passable as an actor - he is very charismatic..
Walking tall, and especially the bounty hunter movie (i forgot the name - hide and seek or something like that) were just fine ..

doom did absolutely nothing to take advantage of his talents

The Rundown.

I enjoyed this movie the same way I enjoyed Resident Evil,I can't really explain it but I found it very entertaining and good overall.

Kudos to the Rock in this film....for taking it seriously and giving it "his best" (for what he had to work with)on what otherwise could have been a throwaway performance.
