I agree that jail time is better than the death penalty. Long term suffering is better than the most common form of execution these days, lethal injection. However, it does cost a lot of money to keep these jokers alive, and we're running out of room to put them in for isolation and containment purposes.

Personally, I think prisoners of major violent crimes should be used for testing instead of animals. Better results. Shut PETA up.
