I don't like SOADs new stuff as much as his old AND it's a little too political for me. I hate when bands sing about US politics and they aren't even from the US. Anyway, I just heard a song with Serj and Buckethead... amazing...

Um, lets see. Where should I start?

1. They play shitty music. Every song has the same tuned bullshit.

2. Every song is absent of a solo.

3. Whoever said Daron should start singing is fucking tone deaf.

4. They play their instruments horribly. Minus the drummer, he's the only one with some noticeable talent. He can do a good blast beat or two.

5. They're the most hypocritical and politically clueless band out there.

6. They sing about 3rd world countries that nobody could give two shits about. Or have even heard of for that matter.

7. The lyrics in the songs that aren't political seem to have been written by a 13 year old.

8. Whenever Serj or Daron are interviewed, they act like complete morons, which sort of justifies their lack of creativity. But they can never take a question seriously.

9. Every song is structured exactly the same.

10. All the CD’s are 30 minutes long.

11. They completely suck live. I've never seen a band suck more at playing live in my entire life. SOAD are tied with Otep for the most shitty performance I have ever seen. If I hadn't slept through Oteps set, SOAD would take the cake.

I used to believe that their first album was decent, but over the years, all the other bullshit they’ve released has definitely depreciated the self-titled.

gah, I cant stand SOAD, I didnt like them befor and I sure shit dont like them now, esspecially there new song whith the lyrics like "Im just sitting in my car waitting for my girl" or some shit like that. I can only stand Serj in that one song he did for HED p.e. other times its just no.
but thats just me :D

Ok I can take that, you know what you don’t like and I accept the fact that soad isn’t for everyone, but the demographic of kids who listen to them don’t even know what half the lyrics mean nor do they care they see it as fast music and distortion. I find that most popular music is like that. A great deal of know bands (by known I mean MTV) have almost no talent they just cam at the right time and found a group of people who see the music at face value. Good or bad I like their sound and the fact that the singing is so off key anyone could do it.

Lonely Day, and Tentaive are the best songs on the album

This album's definately doesn't compare to "Toxicity" But it was good. Other good songs are Kill rock 'n roll, Stealing society, and Dreaming. And yes "We are one" By Buckethead and Serj is extremly good.

and Carpe whatever your name is I went to see them live and they are the best band to see live in the world. They sound exactly like the album does live

How fucking boring.

Why would you want to spend $35 to hear something that sounds exactly like something you've heard a billion times? The point of going to a live show is to experience something different, to look at the music in a different way. If it sounds just like the CD, then we may as well just accuse SOAD of lip and instrument synching.

And Nana_Baby's post also gave me another point as to why I hate SOAD, a lot of their fans are fucking retarded.
