In Ireland, you might want to head down the pub for a Guinness. It's a whole other world from beer, quite magnificent. Also, beer in the US is notoriously weak by law.

I lived in Nashville for awhile and there was a Flying Saucer there, and I liked the beer selection, but the crowd was of the frat dude and sorority girl variety, so I didn't go there too much. plus it was always really crowded. I prefer small dive bars to giant, overcrowded, beer theme parks.
and I love the stout and yes, it does taste better in Ireland. I lived in Ireland for almost half a year once and I still can't drink Guinness over here with the same fervor I once did. but I prefer Beamish or Murphy's stout to Guinness anyway. |
I'm also a hole-in-the wall type. Also never mixed well with jocks and weekend warriors.
