Troops Find Grisly Scene In Convention Center:


Troops scouring New Orleans for survivors and victims reported finding at least 40 mutilated bodies in the Convention Center refugee center.

Arkansas National Guardsman Mikel Brooks told the New Orleans Times Picayune many of the dead were elderly.

"Don't step in that blood – it's contaminated," he told the reporter. "That one with his arm sticking up in the air, he's an old man."

Then he shined the light on a smaller human figure under a white sheet next to the elderly man. "That's a kid," he said. "There's another one in the freezer, a 7-year-old with her throat cut."

I am not going to defend GW here but the mayor of New Orleans is a incompetent horses ass.

The governor is no better. They were told by the federal Gummit to evacuate 2 days before the hurricane made land.

The federal gummit cannot come in an trample states rights and just take over. It is up to state gummit to ask for federal assistance.

I have looked over the New Orleans emergency management plan, and I think the good governor and the mayor chucked it out the window. There are 1500 school buses that could have been used to evacuate folks in plenty of time to avoid this tragedy. They werent used. WHY???? Incompetence in the state and local levels of gummit.

Bush and the federal gummit cant do everything. ANd have you ever tried to deal with the gummit on any issue. Its a fuckin mess. It takes 3 days for someone to decide to flush the toilet in federal gummit because of the idiocy and red tape.

As for the looters-human garbage and oppurtunists. I will put forth the idea that some of those that stayed behind did so for the oppurtunity to rape and pillage the city that they new would be empty.

IMO it is not a very good idea to depend on the gummit for anything. They are inept and incompetent. And now are forcing people from their homes and forcing them to give up firearms that they were using to protect themselves, all in the name of public safety. Coming to a neighborhood near you, the national guard firing on American citizens. Get used to that idea.

When somebody asks why I stockpile ammo, food, water and other essential survival items all I have to do is point to New Orleans.
