Well...I HAVE seen it...And NO...It really isn't much different than so many other movies that depict rape, torture and revenge...Honestly...

kids eh

I agree I Spit On Your Grave is one of the worst movies ever made. Some say it's a feminist classic. Bah! Poorly made, poorly acted.

Same goes with Last House...which was just as bad really. How he went on to make a classic like Nightmare on Elm St is beyond me.

Cheap explotation crap!

not much to add here that wasnt already said on the other thread concerning this film.

Nothing crap about cheap Exploitation!

Just avoid Exploitation movies

neither of these are the best of their kind and both have faults, but crap they are not.

You either dig Exploitation flicks or you don't imho, there is no real middle ground.

I don't mind explotation that much, it's just Shock Exploitation films i'm not keen on.

I can't dig those graphic rape scenes filmed so badly. The one in Irreversible was stylishly executed, the one in I Spit...was extremely poor.

Agreed...It all just depends on what you're into...

It's simply a matter of personal preference...That's why there are so many varied opinions about 'teen slashers', gore vs psychological terror...And even Comedy/Horror/Drama/Sci-Fi...etcetera...

you want better quality rape scenes ?

i'm not sure what you are saying here ??!!

i found the actual rape scenes less than exploitive ...
they were awful, and terrifying - but not exploitive ..

even the 'revenge deaths' were tame by todays standards.

the big problem the film had was the idiots in the audience cheering on the attackers .. THAT was in large part what gave this film its bad name..

not better quality obviously. but when you've got the same shot of a man laughing edited in the same sequence more than once then thats bad filmaking. the irreversible rape scene put the most across of how bad rape is a lot better by keeping the camera completely still for several minutes. that scene was extremely hard to watch and thus made it more believable.
