I'm most likely going to see it tonight just because Jennifer Connelly is in it.

Great movie, missing that one freak out good scene though.

OK, well I'm supposed to see the 7 pm show tonight, is it seriously worth the money?

The aforementioned elevator-scene at the end of the original was very scary.

After the mixed reviews, this film wound up being better than I expected. It's slow and my mind wandered occasionally (because I already knew the story from the Japanese original). But the dank atmosphere is great, and so is Connelly's performance as the distraught mother.

In comparison to the original, it fares better than THE RING, mostly because the Japanese DARK WATER is not such an untouchable masterpiece -- it's good, not great.
