Excellent!!!

Everyone's reaction is extremely emotional and in contradication to the slave lord that has been created as a fiction character. I am very pleased that it might be a best seller and one dandy of a horror movie.

Thanking everyone's reaction as proof of what a delightful venture in the imagination of horror it will be when completed.

Of course, I agree with everyone's opinion on the averse direction of the slave lord's tendency; and I hope to dream up even more wicked plots in the weeks to come.

By God, we'll make this character as
deadly than Hitler and as interesting
as any horror character.

Dracula and the Werewolves are fine;
but they must kindly step aside as I
present my evil villian, the Mississippi
Slave Lord.

As long as you demonize slavery, I don't care. Just don't go making it look romantic.

Characterization is important. Social commentary and subsequently, knowledge of the social machine is necessary for the reader to understand that you are not on sides with the slave master.

Research research research!

You're trying way too hard to sound like an author. Most of us are lazy people who just like to watch horror movies all day, we're not impressed by big words, or fancy signatures and greetings. We won't judge your story based on how you post, just post like yourself, not Mark Twain.

Sincerely,
Kevin Robert Nash

I really like this forum!

Dear Kevin Robert Nash

It was a pleasure to hear from you.
Mistaking me for the character I have
created is a pleasure that I did not anticipate.

As for my verbal formulation; it isn't
revelant to a discussion of the subject matter at hand. I am born and bred
in Mississippi; so being annoyed by my
use of the English language as resembling Mark Twain simply has no bearing upon the issue of the discussion.

As for the character of a Slave Lord in
Mississippi; I rather consider it to be a
compliment that reaction should be so
emotional.

This is, horror.com; where we enjoy the
horror concept; and I know that we both
are like blood in this sense that a good story or movie of horror must really stir people.

Thank you again for your comments; and they are most certainly well received.

Cordially,
Samson

Funny you should mention that film; I never saw it, but Manly Wade Wellman is a favorite horror writer of mine.

Well, to demonize a character isn't necessarily to make that character an actual demon. It just means that you expose the darkness in that character for what it is. Also, you have to show that the author is not on the same side as the character. It's basically typecasting a character and making him or her evil.

Oh, and Samson, stop with the "cordial Southerner" posts. It's irritating. I'm a writer as well as Vodstok and many others, and we don't post like. It's silly, and it makes you look like a fag.

(If you're gay and post on this forum, please forgive my usage of that word).
