Well it's getting pretty sweaty here in Los Angeles too. And here is my little trick for you folks, this is what I do when it's frighteningly hot and you don't have some killer air conditioning system in your pad (or you have one but can't afford to turn it on).

"THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON" (1954)

DVD, VHS, it doesn't matter what format you have this film on. But this movie helps with the temperature! It doesn't actually make the room cooler, of course. But all the water imagery and the sounds of water promote a cooling effect psychologically. Plus, the creature has a clammy look to him, and he looks pretty comfy. It helps take your mind off the crazy weather.

It works people!

yesterday it was so hot outside, it was about 38. And this is Regina were talking about ppl. Its not suppose to be this hot/humid.

You know what I like, when you do a barbecue and you throw those long onions, leeks or whatever they're called, on the fire and they sizzle and blacken and when you serve them with your other foods they have that stringy quality and that deliciously subtle bitterness. Maybe just a little smidgen of salt on one is nice.

its 98 here, but its cloudy. our pool stays warm. tonight when I get home it will be like bath water.

even in here in Norway its hot right now....25 degres C.....havent jumpend in the ocean yet...too cold in the water...but soon....
