I have only one point of contention with this.

I don't think that Hussein should be allowed to enjoy anything except a kick in the face for what he's done. They should have left him in that hole, heavily guarded with the barest minimum of rations (nasty one's too) that he could live off of until trial.

If you are opposed to pollution generated by Big Industry, tough shit, Big Industry makes the electricity you use to surf the net, watch your movies, listen to your music, store and cook your food etc. Can it be cleaner? Yup, but you REALLLLLLY dont want to see the price tag or the timeframe to make it happen. Thats why they call them "Energy Plans", plans fail, and often times are rarely carried out. Its a safety net. But if you are willing to cut down a tree *and risk execution by the enviornmentalists* go ahead, then save some of the wood to make a bucket to get water, dig yourself a nice comfy bathroom *recommended at least 2'x2'x2', try hovering over that* use candles for light, oh and spend a LOT of time getting to know yourself, since the real world uses technology which to an extent relies heavily on Big Industry power sources to get their message out and you wouldnt want to support the "oppressive big industry" by booting up a laptop.

Oh, I agree. Terrorists should have no special rights. If they committed a crime on American soil, then they should have ONLY the rights that the laws that govern our nation allow. Many homelands of said terrorists demand that said crimminals be returned home for trial. However, we have to ask ourselves: Would that luxury be allowed to an American war crimminal in say, Teheran? I don't honestly think so.

Also, I think many historians would agree that the US and many of our long standing allies (England- good friend[up front]...maybe France, but that's because they're pussies) treat our P.O.W's much better than most nations. That may be because of "saving face," our that maybe because we're not the bastards that everyone says we are (which pisses me off. Does the world remind you of high school?).

I don't know. I'm no expert. I'm just a realistic pessimist or a pessimistic realist. You decide.:D

I don't disagree that the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki necessary, and I think that karma will catch up with us. However, I think we did learn from it, and I think we will measure the situation before anything like that happens again. At least I hope anyway.

I read the article in the paper about Hussein and kind of laughed to myself.

He may even be a likeable guy even though he is a SOB. I admire Charles Manson for many reasons, but that doesnt mean that I support his positions.
