I could've sworn it was Billy Crystal, but I can't think of the movie. I'm thinking it was Forget Paris, though.

Robin Williams was also decent in 1 hour photo

It wasn't good because it was 'funny'...It was actually the closest thing to 'drama' that I have ever liked...

i still wasnt crazy about it - as a 'war drama'

but the centrepiece was williams and his 'wacky stream of conciousness' humor... that was definately what was talked about when it came out ..

i've seen a lot of films - similarily themed - from that time period and there isnt one thing in that movie that sticks out .. for me ..

(i'm not saying other people shouldnt like it)

STE had it.
It IS "Forget Paris", I remember it well...Billy Crystal played a basketball ref, and Debra Winger playes an airline hostess, and they hook up, and have this on again off again relationship before finally getting it together, breaking up, and getting together again.
The majority of the film is narrated through a couples various friends perspectives, as they are waiting to meet them for dinner. It was actually really funny. I remember one scene where Debra Winger got a bird stuck to her head with flypaper...funny shit.
I also remember the scene you're referring to, Billy Crystal gets pulled over for speeding, on his way to deliver his "package"...and says to the cop "Do you know what's in here? a cup of sperm!", and gets a gun drawn on him...haha...
Great movie, thankyou for the reminder.

Well, There's the difference...I HAVEN'T "seen a lot of films - similarily themed - from that time period "...As a matter of fact, I wouldn't have seen THAT one either, but it was part of a triple feature at the drive-in (the other two movies were horror, and they stuck that one right in the middle)...So, I guess I really don't have a lot to compare it to...But, as far as movies in general go, I was surprised that I actually liked it (especially since I was dreading having to sit through it, while waiting for the movie that I actually DID wanna see)...I was just glad at the time that it wasn't some kinda girly movie (Like Fried Green Tomatoes, or Runaway Bride, or whatever was around at that time...)...There's no way I woulda been able to sit through THAT...

whoa, I was right...
