You should its pretty cheap to buy on DVD over here and is well worth your money.
Definatley will have to try and track down Made In Britian. I loved the film Scum... someone brought a real nice VHS copy of that from under my nose the other day aswell I was gutted :( I haven't seen a good Australian film like this for awhile. There was a really good run of them for awhile during the late 80s & 90s and some of them rank among my top pics. Bad Boy Bubby Ghosts.... of the civil dead (I really like Nick Cave's part in this) Metal Skin Chopper |
I thought it was great but I disagree with the statement best thing Crowe has/will ever do.
A Beautiful Mind The Insider L.A. Confidential Gladiator Cinderella Man all better in my opinion, not to take anything away from Romper Stomper which I've already mentioned was great. |

I thought all those movie were terrible. But each to their own. I prefer dirty, gritty cinema as apposed to the slick Hollywood style. Cinderella Man does look promising tho. |

Gladiator I do enjoy and L.A Confidential is outstanding, in my opinion. The acting in that movie is just fantastic all around. And I think it is Crowe's best (of what I have seen so far). |
bah. I thought Romper Stomper sucked. Crowe was damn good in it, but it just DRAGGED. The first fight scene looked promising, but it went nowhere. I'll give it a second look just to be sure, but I just couldn't get into this, I thought it was really boring.

I just prefer a good movie and I thought all the ones I listed were great. Russell Crowe is one of the best actors there is imo, I know most people don't really care about what critics say or awards but come on movie after movie the guy gets great reviews and numerous nominations, even if you don't respect critics and awards much after awhile you have to stop and think to yourself ''maybe this guy knows what he's doing''. To add to that most of the people I know(who do know their movies)like the work he does. ''To each his own'' |

I thought it was great didn't bore me for a second, I never read anything about John Nash before I saw the film so I didn't know he was off his block so to speak, so I guess instead of just watching a biopic about a mathmatician it was sort of like watching any other film with a twist that I enjoyed. Who knows, maybe if I had read about him before watching the film it might've bored the hell outta me, but I'm glad it didn't. |
