Limited food?...There are SOOO many places that have food in a mall...Canned food lasts pretty much forever...And your 'survival factor' decreases significantly out on the streets...

After we thin the zombie quotient, we might need to go one missions to gather simple supplies...like grocery stores that still have power...and pharmacies.

I'm basing this, a little, on what we all learned in The Stand and The Mist...both by Stephen King respectively.

I'd have probably not gone to the mall in the first place.
I'd think I'd survive as a lone wanderer.., but I'd rather do things in a small 4-person group at most, so as to not draw a great deal of attention, but be able to cover eachother and co-ordinate pretty well.

I'd stay away from formerly heavily populated areas, arm each of us with a small military issue spade, and a baseball bat...and if I had the choice, a small sidearm each.
Make "armour" or at least bite-proof clothing out of thick bedsheets and the like, helmets all 'round. Not to be removed..,
hot and uncomfortable, yes, but you can't bite through it.
Catch and kill my own meat/fish, harvest whatever else we could use, take sleep shifts, co-ordinate strategic surveillance and attack missions for supply runs.
Survive.

LOL...There's beer AND movies at the mall...AND...I'd need someone to keep me company at Sears since Dustin and Urge would be going off to their deaths ;) :p ...OH, and since Haunted would be staying with me, we'd need someone around for her too :).......Hmm...I guess if you left I'd have to take Preacher...He can do elephant impressions, ya know.....lol
