Dawn of the Dead re-releases are different to The Lord of the Rings issue.

At least Romero's movie had been genuinely edited to suit different (European & USA) audiences, which someone obviously thought was a good idea at the time.

Then there is the element of its various censored editions, and some sought after cutting-room-floor footage.

Compare this to the drooling producers of the Rings trilogy... deliberately holding back on perfectly useable footage until a re-release opportunity is ripe.

but with the european version the zombie who got his head chopped off by the helocopter wasn't on it

Do you mean this scene isn't on any of the discs in the recent re-release, or isn't present in one of the old censored versions?

the scene isn't on the European edition which was on of the 3 ultimate edition versions

that'd be a first then ..

i love achor bay .... thank god - a company who cares about the genre enough to put out quality product.

they arent afraid to make money though ..
there have been so many releases of all 3 evil dead films that it makes your head spin
