"ed gein" really doesnt depict edward`s life..... that is why i say dont go and watch the movie.... go read the books and get the tapes to his confessions....

THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE DID HAPPEN IN TRAVIS COUNTY TEXAS. AND THE HEWITT FAMILY WAS REAL THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE IS INSPIRED BY THE ED GEIN STORY CAUSE THE PRODUCERS OF THE ORIGINAL TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE HAD NO IDEA OF WHAT HAPPENED THAT DAY SO THEY TOOK ED GEIN'S STORY AND APPLIED IT TO THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE. I WISH PEOPLE WOULD STOP SAYING THAT THE TCM NEVER HAPPENED CAUSE IT DID THAT FOOTAGE YOU SEE ON THE REMAKE IS 100% REAL THAT IS THOMAS HEWITT A.K.A LEATHERFACE IN THE FLESH (NO PUN INTENDED).

THERE'S NOTHING ON IT CAUSE IT'S STILL IN THE COLD CASES DIVISION OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND I OBVIOUSLY CAN'T BE 100% SURE BUT THE CASE IS NEVER GOING TO BE SOLVED AND AS LONG AS IT STAYS UNSOLVED THE FILES WILL REMAIN IN THE COLD CASES DIVISION AND AS LONG AS IT STAYS IN THE COLD CASES DIVISION THERE WON'T BE AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO JUST LOOK UP.

I DON'T SEE WHAT'S SO HARD TO BELIEVE IT'S NOT LIKE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT MICHAEL MYERS OR PINHEAD WE'RE TALKING ABOUT SOME PSYCHO WHO LIVED IN TEXAS WITH HIS PSYCHO FAMILY AND HE KILLED PEOPLE WITH A CHAINSAW. WHAT'S SO HARD TO BELIEVE ABOUT THAT?

allmykids 11-11-2003 07:08 AM

I will never believe that any footage on the remake is real. The story (that the remake uses real footage) feels very Blair Witch to me.

In all my years as a TCM fan I only started to hear the Hewitt story when the newest film came out. Nowhere in older interviews that I've read did Tobe Hooper or any of the cast and crew mention the Hewitt story.

I'm not denying it but I want more facts.

PS. I recently moved to Travis county (Austin), TX.
