Bottin is a wizard in this movie, the make-up effects are top-notch. Hell the F/X rival anything that I've seen before.

I've actually never met a person who's seen this and didn't like it. It's just so damn original, and the atmosphere is top-notch, creating a feeling of isolation very close to space.

Definitely the best remake ever made! This movie still holds up and just as creepy. One of the best horror movies ever made, hands down, with out a doubt.

One of my best also. This movie exemplifies to perfection how Carpenter was a master at creating atmosphere and playing with isolation...
